We are looking for a Head of Software Development who can work as an Architect and a team leader with experience in software development. You will be in charge of our SW product portfolio and a team of developers.
Digitalization within aquaculture is growing rapidly and we are the market leader in digital solutions for aquaculture.
Our various software products communicate via open APIs, allowing fish farmers to integrate our solutions in a seamless environment with other systems. Our proven software and cutting-edge digital services ensure that biological production is in line with industry requirements for control, fish health, monitoring, planning and data flow. The product area covers management of physical components at sea- and land-based aquaculture facilities, registration and analysis of large amounts of biological data, environmental data and production data, as well as digital infrastructure for modern remote operations centers and local area networks
Responsibilities:
- Development of long and short term functional and technical architectures
- Perform Solution/technology evaluations and comparisons
- Establish estimations, and provide architecture recommendations to product teams
- Management and coaching of agile development teams, junior architects, developers, and engineers
- Manage and balance the long term and short-term implications of architectural software decisions
- Revision control and release manager responsibilities; main and sequential software releases
- Test planning, testing, and product launch of software releases
We believe that you have some of the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education is required and 10 + years of relevant engineering and software development experience
- Experience with agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, Continuous Delivery etc.)
- Leadership experience in managing and developing DevOps teams >15 people
- Solution and integration architecture experience along with conceptual, logical and physical architecture artifacts
- Knowledge and skills surrounding Web and Public Cloud architectures, including Azure-based Cloud architectures
- Knowledge and skills surrounding the .NET platform (C#, etc.)
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc.)
- Deep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment and continuous monitoring
- The leadership of offshore teams and experience building/supporting distributed systems with multi-location teams
- Languages: English is required and Norwegian is an advantage
